About
I am a PhD student in International Relations and Political Methodology in the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida. My research lies at the intersection of international relations theory, international security, and foreign policy analysis.
Substantively, I study alliance politics, nuclear deterrence, and hierarchy in international politics. Methodologically, I employ mixed methods, integrating formal modelling, quantitative analysis, and qualitative approaches to identify causal mechanisms and develop theory-driven explanations of strategic behaviour.
My current work focuses on how systemic constraints interact with state beliefs and perceptions, with particular emphasis on signalling dynamics under uncertainty.
I received both my MSc and BSc in Political Science from Universiteit Leiden.
